YouTopia, since 2020
I type this free hand with almost near zero drafting. I have purposefully disabled AI/Grammarly in this post. I usually write better than this. Not so sorry, yet felt like sharing this.
I have always been fascinated how we humans react to adversity. 2020 was one such year. As a 20 some youngin, I could barely fathom the 'why' of it.
Why do we run? Why couldn't we be pragmatic? Why do we hoard? Why do we blame? Why don't we share? and so on...
To each their own, one would say. But when in trouble, almost unanimously everyone goes into survival mode, where the fittest, shall survive becomes the norm, as though we are still a unicellular organism fighting for the same resources in a limited supply setting.
On the contrary, we have been living in excess and exuberance for quite some time, a huge thanks to the present economies. Yet, distribution limitations and disparities exist. The past 6 years was nothing short of gamble for me. Especially the last couple years. The 'why' part became prominent on me too. Why do I have to?
I have been working on some, whining on some and wailing on some. Change is permanence. Stagnations are dangerous, wherever it may be. It is the flow state, the constant dynamic flow, that brings life. Thus was born YouTopia.
So, what is it about? Utopia? an ideal world? A fiction?
YouTopia is primarily, a thinktank. A group that solves real world problems, primarily in Healthcare and it's ancillaries. The YouTopia also recognises the impact of money firsthand on Health and the possible limitations. Healthcare is bound by emotions and human first approach, limiting access and costs. Technology is the distributor or the big boy of scale.
We see patients and are part of the system, where medical decisions are limited and directed based on financial and technological accessibility rather than the best possible scenario. There is always a lingering concept of a treatment to make financial sense, rather than a medical one. And, oh, the importance of prevention over treatment is a gross understatement. Often, many times a day, we are reminded how it is the financial state and interests that accrue and exponentially worsen the health of a patient. It is almost always a given,
Thus, youtopia is a thinktank, working on the intersection of Healthcare, Finance and Technology. HealthFinTech (Heffin'tek?)
I have been working on this and hopes to build a modular, scalable company launching in phases. For starters, it needs a team, and I am building one.
What do I plan to have?
Build a team in person. A small personal group where we are free to voice and work. Adapt and produce stuff at scale at rates deemed impossible. There won't be any
I am looking for people who do not want to go through the conventional route. The team will be small and intense. Adios.
